YEAR: 1955 (the 109th one made in Sept 1954)

 

MODEL: XK 140 (140 means that it would go 140mph which made it the fastest production sports car in the world

 

BODY: Roadster (OTS = Open Two Seater) Doors, Hood (Bonnet) & Trunk Lid (Boot) aluminum. Rest steel.

 

COLOR: Black/Red

 

ENGINE: 3.4 L 190hp Straight Six with two overhead camshafts and dual sidedraft carburetors

 

HISTORY: Purchased on January 1, 1958 with 4953 miles.

 

Started complete restoration in 1966 at about 110,000 miles and completed in 1994. Now 123,456.

 

In 1995 showed at 4 Jaguar Concourse Shows: Milwaukee Zoo, McCormick Park, Wheaton, IL.

Union Train Station, St Louis, and Churchill Downs, Louisville. Placed 1st in NA in class 99.6 avg score

 

In 1999 drove car 1000 miles to attend the first International Jaguar Festival at The Broadmoor, in

Colorado Springs. Drove it up Pikes Peak (14,000 feet) with 50 other antique Jags.

 

Jaguar's heydays were the fifties when they won many world class races including The Le Mans several

times. The revolutionary engine in my car was introduced in 1948 and they made it for 40 years.
